Production Support Engineer
Role and Responsibilities:
- Having Development & Support experienced in Python programming, Nifi and Apache Airflow.
- Preference to have Python Experience (Design, Plan, Coding and Debugging) Enhancement, Implementation and Improvement of application and its Process and Design on day to day working.
- Using runbooks and other source docs to implement corrective actions. • Provide production monitoring and incident management - 1st level, 2nd and 3rd level support of data flows and overnight batches into and out of the client firm, which is a London based company.
- Escalating undocumented issues to the appropriate 3rd line support team Communicating issues with both Engineering and Business users. • Able to write and execute SQL queries for troubleshooting issues.
- Interest in learning and supporting and development of new Big Data technologies for our Data Lake (NiFi, Hive, AirFlow, Python). • Support and maintain legacy data infrastructure (SQL, SSRS and SFTP file transfers). • Past experience in finance is not needed but this is a chance to learn on the job from industry experts.
Skills and Experience:
- 1-3 years of good experience in the same role
- Good level of English in communicating technical issues to both technical and non-technical users.
- Like working with the broader engineering team including infrastructure, software engineering and DevOps as well as business developers and users
- Enjoy working with distributed client engineering team located in London, Rotterdam, and Malaga.
- Added Advantage, who has experience in Apache Airflow and Apache Nifi.
